Boys’ Cricket

 INFORMATION FOR 2020

CAMMERAYGAL P&C Sports sub-committee invites students to play cricket in the North Shore Junior Cricket Association (NSJCA)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Season: There is one competition a year, games are not generally played during school holidays: September to March

Location: Games will be played at various cricket fields on the North Shore.

Age groups: Cricket is organised in age groups with age as at 31 August determining which age group you play in. Eg. If you are 12 as at 31 August, you would play in the U13 age group.

We will organise teams based on interest. More people will mean more teams.

Times: Boys play either Saturday afternoon 2pm – 6pm or Sunday morning 8am-12 Midday. The draw for the season is released prior to the competition starting.

Training: Training will be at a time that suits the team either before or after school one day a week. Coaches will either be a volunteer parent, an older student from a local school under the supervision of a parent volunteer or a paid coach if preferred.

Uniform: White cricket pants are required. Shirts will be supplied in first year of registration.

Team manager:  A volunteer parent will be needed from each team to act as manager.  This role involves emailing the team with game times, duties and liaising on any issues that may arise.

PLAYER’S COMMITMENT

In registering to play cricket, all players are making a commitment. You are committing to attend all training sessions and games unless you are sick or injured. You are also committing to be a team player. You may not pull out of your team unless you are sick or injured. If this is the case, you must notify the manager or coach as soon as you realise you cannot play.
